It was a rainy Sunday afternoon when my stunning reading buddies and I went for some fantastic book shopping at the 34th Manila International Book Fair! Being the book nuts that we were, we didn't let the weather keep us from grabbing some great deals! Thanks to one of our members Ms Ivy and to National Book Store, our entrance was free!
We met some great people, including the very friendly Ms. Beverly Wico Siy, author of It's A Mens World, our April Book of the Month discussion at Read Philippines which we thoroughly enjoyed! Ms Bebang was very accommodating. Even though she was all dressed up she took the time to mingle with her readers and chat with us! Thank you Ms Bebang, hope all authors are like you!
We also met and had a signing with Kajo Baldisimo, illustrator behind the celebrated series Trese.
All that shopping made us tired so the best part was the refreshments afterwards. Thank you to my Read Philippines buddies! I had a great time! Looking forward to our next meet up! To those who were not able to make it, we missed you and we empathize with you! Till the next meet up!
